Chaput (cyclist)

Chaput was a French track cyclist. He competed in the men's sprint event and at the men's sprint points race at the 1900 Summer Olympics. After finishing third in his heat in the sprint event, he qualified for the quarter finals. In the quarterfinal he was eliminated, losing of American John Henry Lake and Italian Giacomo Stratta.[1] A few days later was the men's points race event. In the 5th sprint he was second (scoring 2 points) and in the 10th and final sprint he was also second (scoring 6 points). With a total of 8 points he finished 4th overall, 1 point behind both Karl Duill and Louis Trousselier.
