Channa Jayasumana

Channa Jayasumana is a Sri Lankan politician, a member of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. He belongs to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. He is a physician by profession

He holds professional qualifications MBBS from University of Peradeniya, PhD and FRCP Edin .

He has done research on drinking water, occupational exposure to Herbicides and it's association with chronic kidney disease[1]

He held the position of Professor, Faculty of Medicine, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka

He was appointed state minister of Pharmaceutical Production, Supply and Regulation in 2020 [2]
