Chandra Das Rai

Chandra Das Rai popularly known as C.D Rai was a pro democracy leader of pre merger Sikkim, bureaucrat and former journalist.[1] He was a senior leader in Sikkim State Congress.[2]

He also served as the first editor of Sikkim Herald.[3] His son is former member of parliament Prem Das Rai.

  • 2014- Bhanu Purashkar- Awarded by Nepali Sahitya Parishad, Sikkim
  • 2018- Kashiraj Pradhan Lifetime Journalism Award- Presented by Government of Sikkim
