Off-screen work

Chandan being congratulated by deputy director, Jayanta K Dash of Nandankanan Zoological Park for adopting tiger Bahubali
"I have made a faint roar to preserve the fast fading population of tigers and make their legacy survive for our next generations to come. I urge the mass to help make the roar stronger. Let us spread the message and awareness to save tigers, let us roar stronger and start adopting.”[11]

"I have suggested to the zoo authorities to distribute leaflets and put up banners to inform more people about the adoption programme. The process is absolutely hassle free"[12]

— Chandan appeals the mass to save tigers and start adopting animals.

Chandan is an active member and counselor of the NGO named Save Indian Family Foundation (SIFF) since the year 2007.[13] SIFF is a registered, non-funded, non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO) headquartered at Bangalore that conducts research on social trends affecting men.[14]

On 16 September 2012, Chandan adopted a White Tigress named "Bijaya" through the "Adopt an Animal" program of Nandankanan Zoological Park located at Bhubaneswar, Odisha.[11] [12] [15] [16] [17] [18] [19] [20] [21] On 26 August 2018, Chandan adopted the Royal Bengal Tiger "Bahubali", his second adoption in Nandankanan. To draw public attention and create awareness on adopting animals the actor has popularized the program of adopting animals through various TV channels, Radio shows and web forums.[11][12][17][18][19]

Later, Chandan also joined the organization People For Animals PFA, Bhubaneswar started in 1998 under the advice of Smt. Maneka Gandhi to campaign for animal rights and extend services to the animals in distress in Odisha.[18][22] To widespread the message for stopping cruelty towards animals Chandan regularly feeds stray dogs and cows in public and appeals the mass to protect animals against cruelty during his public appearances and interviews. He has been working with different organisations to help rehabilitate and provide shelter to stray animals.[23][24]

To promote eye donation in the State and raise awareness, Chandan has donated his eyes with the help of Drushti Daan eyebank.[18][25]

gollark: FORTRAN is apparently quite widely used in high performance computing, and there are recent standard versions.
gollark: It does not look fine. Two consecutive lines are differently indented, there's an async IIFE there with one line in it, and it's generally weird and inconsistent.
gollark: It has automatic semicolon insertion. If you are missing some and your code doesn't work it's probably horribly formatted somehow.
gollark: Anyway, it seems like your code is horribly accursed. I would bet nothing whatsoever it's a scope issue - you're trying to use commands outside of where it's defined. It would help if you posted all the code.
gollark: Semicolons are optional in JS.
