Plot
The film is a historical story, based on the life history the 3rd century BC Maurya Emperor Chandragupta (N. T. Rama Rao) & his mentor Chanakya (Akkineni Nageswara Rao). The story follows how they destroyed the Nanda Dynasty, defeated Alexander The Great (Sivaji Ganesan) and established the Maurya Empire.
