In the aquarium
These butterflyfish require temperatures from 60–75 °F, so a tank cooler might be required. They require an enriched meaty diet with algae and other green foods.[1] They can do well alone or in small groups. They are active swimmers, and should not be put in anything under 180 gallons. They are rarely seen in the aquarium trade.[2]
