Biography

Ahn was born on January 17, 1956. Ahn married Sue Roxas on September 1, 1979. Ché and Sue have been married for over 40 years and currently reside in Pasadena, California. They are the parents of four adult children and have six grandchildren.

Ché Ahn and Sue Roxas both became followers of Jesus in the early 1970s and met at a large Bible study in Washington, D.C. In 1982, Ché received a prophetic dream from the Lord that a great harvest would come to Los Angeles. The Ahns moved from Maryland to Southern California in April 1984, believing the Lord for a great revival. Ché and Sue started small prayer meetings in their home in Pasadena in March 1994, and within a few weeks, more than 300 people showed up for those meetings. Harvest Rock Church was officially launched on April 4, 1994.

From 1995 to 1998, the church would host nightly meetings at Mott Auditorium, where thousands of lives were radically transformed by the manifest presence of God. By the close of 1995, Harvest Rock Church merged with three other local congregations with distinct backgrounds that felt the call for unity in their community. Then on Father's Day 2004, Harvest Rock Church moved locations, finding its new home in Pasadena's prized Ambassador Auditorium.

In 1996, Harvest International Ministry (HIM) was birthed under Ahn's leadership, as Harvest Rock Church joined with 14 other churches to form this apostolic network working together to help fulfill the Great Commission. Since its inception, HIM has now extended into more than 65 nations and connects over 25,000 affiliated ministries and organizations across the globe.

In June 2010, Ahn's spiritual father and mentor, Dr. C. Peter Wagner, made Ahn the international chancellor of Wagner Leadership Institute (now Wagner University), an international network of apostolic training centers established to equip believers for Kingdom ministry. Then in late 2017, Ahn founded California Dreamin, a church-planting and discipleship initiative with an apostolic vision for global revival and reformation.
