History
The group consists of sisters Emaza Gibson and Saiyr Gibson,[1] who are originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.[2] They are of Filipino, Caucasian, and African American descent.[3]
Ceraadi first attracted notice in 2015 when they were featured on the reality show Christina Milian Turned Up.[4] In 2017 they released the single "We In Here", produced by Dem Jointz.[5] They were signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label in 2019.[2][6] Their five-track EP Ceraadi's Playlist was released on August 9, 2019.[7] The lead single off the EP "Loyal" was released on May 16, 2019.[6] In September 2019, they released the music video for the EPs second single, "Dumbstruck".[2][8]
On social media, the sisters vlog about fashion, beauty, music and relationship advice,[9] gaining a following of over 1.9 million Instagram followers and 1.3 million YouTube subscribers as of March 2020.[6][10][11] Their music and fashion style has been described as having elements of early 1990s R&B and hip-hop, with influences including TLC, Janet Jackson, and Salt-N-Pepa.[3]
