Flynn was selected by Portland Thorns FC with the 40th pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft making her the fourth Huskers player to be picked in a NWSL Draft.[3][4] The Thorns failed to sign her to a contract.[5] On April 14, 2017, FC Kansas City announced that Flynn would be added to their roster ahead of the start of the 2017 National Women's Soccer League season.[6]
