Carole Martinez

Carole Martinez (10 November 1966 in Créhange) is a French contemporary novelist.

Biography

She was at a time tempted by theater and created her troupe at age 20.[1]

She is a teacher of French.

Her first novel, Le Cœur cousu, released discreetly in February 2007, received thereafter numerous prizes.[2][3] Her second novel, Du domaine des Murmures, is short listed for the prix Goncourt (the prize eventually went to L'Art français de la guerre by Alexis Jenni with five votes, and three to Carole Martinez.[4]) She finally was awarded the prix Goncourt des lycéens.
