Carlos Ross

Carlos Esteban Ross Cotal (born 23 November 1990) is a Chilean footballer who plays as Winger. He currently plays in Sport Huancayo of the Peruvian Primera División. Ross has been summoned five times to the (Chile national football team), participating in three games. He made his debut with coach Marcelo Bielsa.

Career

The beginning

Ross born in the city of Copiapó. He started from the age of 14, in the club Audax Italiano. He was champion of Chile in the U-17 category. In 2009, he was elected as "The Best of the Best" as the best player, of all lower divisions of Audax Italiano.

Career

He became a professional footballer in Audax Italiano.[1][2] Later, he wore the Coquimbo Unido shirt where he was the top scorer of the team with twelve goals.[3] Then he continued at O'Higgins F.C.,[4] C.D. Copiapó[5] and Unión La Calera.[6] He has also made his career in four countries abroad.[7][8][9] He has participated in the Chilean National Team, in minor series and adult level. He was also Sparring of the Chile national football team at the (2010 FIFA World Cup). He made his debut in the adult Chilean team, with coach (Marcelo Bielsa), being international on three occasions.

In January 2018, he is hired by Cobresal of (Chile). He has a very good performance with his team obtaining first place in the first half of 2018 of the championship (opening), being the second scorer of the team and one of the top goal assistants.[10][11][12] In July 2018, he is hired by Al-Mujazzal Club of (Saudi Arabia)[13]. In the Arab club he was one of the team's top scorers, with seven goals, one of them an Olympic goal.[14]

In January 2019, he is hired by Sport Huancayo of the Peruvian Primera División. In 2019, he was in the Ideal team of the Copa Bicentenario, top assistant of the Cup, top assistant of his team, second goalscorer and he played International Cup (Copa Sudamericana 2019)

International career

Has been in the Chile U-20 led by coach Ivo Basay.[15]

After a run of good matches led him to be sparring of Marcelo Bielsa in the national team.

Was part of the group of sparring, who traveled to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.[16]

He has been summoned on five occasions to the Chilean International Team, playing three matches with the (Chilean Selection).

He made his debut in the national team against Venezuela,[17] with 19 years, 31 March 2010, entering by José Pedro Fuenzalida, with the number 18, in the city of Temuco, Chile, in that match also they played Gary Medel, Eduardo Vargas, Charles Aránguiz, among others.

His second game was against the selection of Northern Ireland,[18] entering by Arturo Vidal. in the city of Chillán, Chile.

Participates in a friendly match which made Chile. In South Africa, against New Zealand.[19]

In 2011, (Claudio Borghi) include it in the list of the Chilean national team, not being released by his club with his partner Carlos Escobar.[20]
