Biography

Carlo Antonio Ripa was born in 1582.[1] On 19 Jan 1632, he was appointed during the papacy of Pope Urban VIII as Bishop of Mondovi.[2][1] On 25 Jan 1632, he was consecrated bishop by Antonio Marcello Barberini, Cardinal-Priest of Sant'Onofrio, with Antonio Provana, Archbishop of Turin, and Giovanni Francesco Passionei, Bishop of Cagli, serving as co-consecrators.[1] He served as Bishop of Mondovi until his death on 20 Sep 1641.[2][1]

gollark: Admittedly the actual web has that (CAs and the DNS servers).
gollark: I can't see any reason that wouldn't work, but it *does* seem to introduce a lot of dependence on the registrar.
gollark: How do the registrar and server securely communicate this "one time string/message"?
gollark: So they share a key from data sent over a connection which does *not* require them to both have a key.
gollark: No, those run on asymmetric cryptography.
