Cape Gate is known for its massive shopping complex comprising the Cape Gate Regional Shopping Centre and the Cape Gate Lifestyle Centre. Cape Gate Shopping Centre is the biggest of the two and has over 160 stores in the centre.[3][4]

Cape Gate Lifestyle Centre is a smaller component of the shopping complex comprising stores such as Superspar, Virgin Active, Kloppers Sport, BuildIt, Mambos Plastic, Bathroom Bizarre and the Blasters Family Entertainment Centre amongst others. It also includes restaurants such as Burger King, KFC, Nando's and Steers.[5][6]

Other shopping facilities

Since Cape Gate is a shopping district itself it has many other stores, car delearships and restaurants other than the Cape Gate Shopping and Lifestyle Centres. These include Builders Warehouse, Giant Hyper, Makro, Mahindra, Tafelberg Furnishers and an Engen petrol station.[7][8][9][10][11][12]

Imperial Toyota Cape Gate was previously located in the building of now Haval Cape Gate but moved a few kilometres north to the corner of Okavango and Langeberg Roads near Kraaifontein however it still retains the name Imperial Toyota Cape Gate.[13]

Medical facilities

Cape Gate includes the Mediclinic Cape Gate, a private hospital adjacent to the Cape Gate Shopping Centre. This hospital is owned by South African-based company, Mediclinic International.[14]
