Candelaria mine
The Candelaria mine is a large copper mine located in northern Chile in Atacama Region. Candelaria represents one of the largest copper reserves in Chile and in the world having estimated reserves of 600 million tonnes of ore grading 0.95% copper, 3.84 million oz of gold and 576 million oz of silver.[1] Mine also includes a Sea Water Reverse Osmosis plant with capacity to produce 7.9 Million gallons per day. Desalination plant was supplied by Aqualia in 2010.[2]
