CLHS also offers men's baseball and women's softball in the spring.[12] CLHS baseball and softball belong to the Arrowhead League, Division 6.[13][14]
CLHS also offers co-ed sports to its students, including soccer, track, and cross country.[15] CLHS soccer belongs to the Arrowhead League, Division 7.[16] CLHS Track belongs to the Arrowhead League, Division 4.[17]
Doe v. California Lutheran High School Association
Prior to May 2009 the school accused two 16-year-old girls of possessing a "bond of intimacy" "characteristic of a lesbian relationship" and expelled them both. In 2009 the California Supreme Court ruled that it did not have to comply with the Unruh Civil Rights Act, a California state law preventing businesses from discriminating because the school was a social organization and not a business. This was based on a 1998 state Supreme Court decision that defined the Boy Scouts as a social organization.[18]
