COBRA (action-adventure novels)

For the series of novels by Timothy Zahn, see COBRA (science fiction novels)

COBRA was a short-lived series of adventure novels by Joseph R. Rosenberger, who also created the series Death Merchant. The series was published in the late 1980s.

Synopsis

COBRA profiles the adventures of a top-secret covert operations team led by a man named Jon Skul who have no qualms about using the same methods as their enemies in order to complete a mission, following the philosophy "the end justifies the means." COBRA novels often include acts of intentional collateral damage by the lead characters, including the killing of police officers and innocent bystanders (similar to Rosenberger's Death Merchant series), as the COBRA team, led by Jon Skul, fight drug smugglers and terrorists.
