C. M. Chang

C. M. Chang or Chongshen Mongkosungkum Chang (born 1 April 1942 Village Noksen, Tuensang district) is an Indian politician, belonging to Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party. He is a retired IAS officer and worked as Secretary in the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland until his voluntary retirement in 2002 to contest his first unsuccessful 2003 NLA General Election. He lost for the second time in 2008 general election. In the 2009 election he was elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from the Nagaland Lok Sabha constituency. In 2013 Nagaland Legislative Assembly elections, he was elected from 51/Noksen (Vidhan Sabha constituency) and became the Minister of Education. He contested 2003, 2008, 2013 general elections and 2009 Lok Sabah election from NPF party ticket. And on 2018 he joined the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party and won the general election for (NLA) the second time and is appointed as Minister for Environment, Forest & Climate change and Justice & Law.[1]

He did his graduation from Guwahati University. He is married to Mrs Alemla and has six sons and five daughter and resides at Dimapur.[2]
