By Jiminy Ahoy is a children's book by David Scott Daniell. It was first published by the Brockhampton Press in 1963 and later in 1974 by Hodder & Stoughton.[1][2] It was illustrated by D.G. Valentine. A French translation titled Cricketto dans l'île mystérieuse was published by Hachette in 1965. The translator was Jean Muray and the illustrations for this edition were the work of François Batet.[3]

It is the second book in a series about a plucky boy called Jiminy.

Film and television series

By Jiminy Ahoy was turned into a feature film and television series called Treasure in Malta by Anvil Films for the Children's Film Foundation.
