Bushra Rahman

Bushra Rahman (Urdu: بشریٰ رحمٰن) is a Pakistani politician who served as member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from 2002 to 2013. She remained a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from 1985 to 1990.

Early life and education

She has earned the degree of Bachelor of Education and Master of Arts.[1]

She is a writer by profession[1] and is recipient of the Sitara-i-Imtiaz for her achievements in the literature field.[2]

Political career

She was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on a reserved seat for women in the 1985 Pakistani general election.[3]

She was re-elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on a reserved seat for women in the 1988 Pakistani general election.[4]

She was elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) on a seat reserved for women from Punjab in the 2002 Pakistani general election.[5][6][7]

She was re-elected to the National Assembly of Pakistan as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) on a seat reserved for women from Punjab in the 2008 Pakistani general election.[8][9]
