Bryan Steam Car
Background
The car was produced by Bryan Steam Motors of Peru, Indiana, a company which built mainly steam-driven tractors and trucks. The company was founded by George A Bryan, who had been employed by the Santa Fe Railroad, working his way up from engine wiper to chief inspector.[1] Bryan adapted the superheating system used in locomotives to small engines for cars and tractors.[1] A total of six vehicles, all touring cars, were built under this badge; most, if not all, were intended for company officials.
A sports sedan was announced for 1921, but never materialized.[1]
gollark: Android tried to work around the read-only system image thing by... having *two* system image partitions and updating one in the background? Because of course that's totally a sane and measured solution.
gollark: Because abstraction and people not paying attention.
gollark: Oh, just /data? Weird.
gollark: No, it's just Android being stupid.
gollark: "and we'll make apps in Java, who needs "free RAM"?"
