Brighton Central School District

The Brighton Central School District is a public school district in New York State that serves approximately 3,700 students in portions of the towns of Brighton and Pittsford[1] in Monroe County. As of 2007, the district had over 600 employees and an operating budget of $60,547,645. The average class size was 20 students and the student-teacher ratio was 12:1 (elementary), 11:1 (middle-high school).[2]

Board of education

The Board of Education has seven elected members. Members serve overlapping three-year terms with two to three seats up for election each year.

  • French Road Elementary School (FRES) Grades 3-5, 800 students
  • Twelve Corners Middle School (TCMS) Grades 6-8, 880 students
