History
Originally Shire Hall in Bedford was the local facility for dispensing justice and the meeting place of Bedfordshire County Council.[1] A new building, which designed by the Deputy County Architect, Douglas Chalk,[2] and initially known as "County Hall", was completed in November 1969.[3] It was officially opened by the Duchess of Kent on 12 October 1970.[4] After Bedfordshire County Council was abolished in April 2009, the building became known as "Borough Hall" and formed the headquarters of Bedford Borough Council.[5]

gollark: I was considering a maze as the "challenge" to uninstall potatOS.
