Location
It is located at approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) east of Mbarara town the largest city in the Ankole Sub-region and approximately 278 kilometres (173 mi) from Kampala the Capital City and Largest city in the country on Kampala-Mbarara high way.
Overview
The town is located in Biharwe Division a newly added Division to Mbarara Municipality. It is developing urban area as many investors are seeing it as a potential tourist area after the establishment of Igongo Cultural Centre.
