Bidezabal (Metro Bilbao)

Bidezabal is a station of line 1 of Metro Bilbao. It is located in the neighbourhood of Algorta, in the municipality of Getxo. The station opened on 11 November, 1995.[2]

Bidezabal station is, from a north-south perspective, the first station inside of the Greater Bilbao area after the opening of the Ibarbengoa station.

Station layout

It is an overground station with two side platforms. The main hall is located directly above the tracks.

Services

Metro services

The station is served by Line 1 to Etxebarri, Ibarbengoa, and Plentzia. There are trains to Etxebarri every five to ten minutes and services to Plentzia every twenty minutes. The Ibarbengoa station took Bidezabal's place as northern terminus of the frequent services for the Greater Bilbao area, after which trains serving at Bidezabal continues towards Ibarbengoa with a frequency of five to ten minutes.[3]
