Bhavin Turakhia

Bhavin Turakhia (born 21 December 1979) is an Indian billionaire [2] and serial entrepreneur[3], and the founder of Flock, Radix, CodeChef and Zeta. He is the CEO of Flock and Zeta.[4][5][6][7][8][9][10] In 2016, Bhavin was ranked as the 95th richest person in India, with a net worth of US$1.3 billion, along with his brother Divyank Turakhia, according to Forbes.[11][12][13] He has been honored as a 2011 Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.[14][15][16]

Early life

Born in Mumbai in middle class Jain family, he did his schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir, Bandra.[11] He attended D.G. Ruparel College[17] to study science and later dropped out[18] and then completed his bachelor's degree in commerce from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics.[19][20]

Career

In 1998 with a capital of ₹25,000[21][22] (US$375), Bhavin Turakhia at the age of 18, started his first tech venture Directi with his brother Divyank Turakhia.[23][6][24][25][26]

In 2014, Bhavin and Divyank sold four of their web presence companies – BigRock, LogicBoxes, ResellerClub, and Webhosting.info – to Nasdaq-listed U.S.-based web-hosting firm Endurance International Group, for $160 million.[27][28]

He currently operates Flock,[29][30][31] Ringo, Radix and Zeta.[32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41][42][5]

In July 2019, his fintech venture Zeta received an investment from Sodexo at a valuation of $300 million. [43][44]
