Bhasma

Bhasma may refer to:

• Vibhuti, sacred ash made of dried wood used in Hindu Vedic and Āgamic rituals.

• Bhasma, a more general term for any ash product in Ayurveda, which includes vibhuti, but also includes the ash from other substances such as Shankha bhasma (conch shell ash), as well as preparations of minerals such as mica or gold through processes that can include calcination and/or mixing in herbs before burning. The exact process varies by the substance.
