Background

Burgerkill began to work on "Beyond Coma and Despair" in early 2005, where at the same time, Toto left the band after nine years together as drummer to pursue his career outside the band. His position was taken over by Andris who at that time is holding bass, that makes Andris took double recording sessions on both drum and bass for this album. This album was completed in September 2005 (2005-09) then studio production between March-April 2006 (2006-04), coincide with the end of their collaboration with Sony Music Indonesia due to no agreement by both parties regarding the album materials. Finally Burgerkill release this album through own label Revolt! Records in August 2006 (2006-08). This album was also re-released in limited copy of Vinyl on September 18, 2014 (2014-09-18) in Bandung, distributed online through "Chronic Rock Merch" distribution and Demajors[5] (one of the largest record label and distributor in Indonesia).

A few weeks before the album was released, Ivan Firmansyah known as "Ivan Scumbag" died, causing the Band in an unfortunate situation. But the album launching must continue according to plan even in a mourning situation, so Teguh ("Right 88") and Yadi ("Motordead") were temporarily lined-up replacing the role of the late Ivan Scumbag. During this period, Ramdan joined the Band to handle bass in 2007 (2007) that kept Andris holding his position as drummer for the Band, then Vicky also joined through an audition to be vocalist up to today. "Beyond Coma and Despair" consists of 12 songs including 1 cover song "Atur Aku" of "Puppen", written by Robin Malau and Arian Arifin known as "Arian 13" ("Seringai").
