Betws Bledrws
Betws Bledrws, is a village in Llangybi, Ceredigion, Wales.[1] Situated on the slopes on the banks of the River Dulas, approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Lampeter and a half mile to the southwest of the village of Llangybi, on the old road from Tregaron to Lampeter.
Etymology
The first part of the name of the village comes from the Middle English word bedhus, meaning "prayer house", which became betws in Welsh.[2]
Derry Ormond Mansion, demolished in 1953, lies close to the village. Betws Bledrws Church was rebuilt in the 19th century.
