Benjamin Kojo Afandoh

Benjamin Kojo Afandoh also known as Agya Ntow was a Ghanaian actor, playwright and a composer and has featured in a lot of local movies.[1]

Personal Life

He comes from Ajumako Asasan in the Central Region, he was married with seven children and loves football as a hobby.

Career

Agya Ntow was a school teacher in 1957 but left the classroom to follow his acting passion, Agya Ntow started acting in 1956, he was humorous and had command of his native language Fante,he was the leader Abibiman Concert Party Group of which they tour the country with plays and were affiliated to the Arts Centre which made programmes available for the group.[2]

He joined the Abibiman Group from Workers Brigade Drama Group where he had the opportunity to feature as the lead characters in the movie Sika Sumsum which was his best. He played the role with his best friend Yaw Bortey (Apache) and it's the movie that earned him the nickname Agya Ntow.

He joined the Edinkanfo Concert Party formed four years ago with David Dontoh as their director. He compose most of the songs the drama group sing on stage.[3]
