Benjamin Chukwuma Ozumba

Benjamin Chukwuma Ozumba served as 14th[1] Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for over twenty years.[2] He succeeded Bath Okolo who was the 13th Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria.[3]. Benjamin served as the provost of the college of medicine of the same university between the years 2004 and 2008.[4]

Ozumba was born March 21, 1954 and hails from Abba in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.[2] He attended Government College , Umuahia and University of Lagos to study medicine.[4] Ozumba was appointed the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in June 2014. He served in this post till 2019, when he handed over to Professor Charles Arizechukwu Igwe.[5]
