History

The station opened on 1 July 1863 by the Great North of Scotland Railway. To the north was Cragganmore distillery, which had opened because it was close to the railway. There were two goods sheds: a two-storey goods shed that connected with the distillery and the other was in the middle of the large goods yard which was to the east. The two-storey goods shed was used to store whiskey from the distillery. The station closed to both passengers and goods traffic on 18 October 1965.[1][2] The station building and the larger goods shed survive today.[3]

gollark: They required Librem to come up with a convoluted hack to avoid exposing the fact that their thing needs firmware for DDR IO.
gollark: I don't think that means much. The RYF certification is vaguely insane.
gollark: I mostly just get cheap bad phones and replace them periodically, since even the worst ones can run a browser and Discord and simple applications fine.
gollark: I see.
gollark: Which is quite nice.
