History
Back was founded with the building of the Hudson Bay Railway in the third decade of the 20th century. When the originally intended final section line route to Port Nelson was abandoned, the construction of the new route of the final section from Amery north to Churchill, which opened in 1929, led to its founding. Back lies on the line between the settlements of O'Day to the south and M'Clintock to the north.[3]
Transportation
Back is the site of Back railway station, served by the Via Rail Winnipeg – Churchill train.
gollark: If I am paid for being a middle node, I would get money for going between A and B with a jammer, so that B can't connect with A directly, and providing a new node.
gollark: Let's say person A is connected to B, and A is also connected to the wider internet™ or something.
gollark: Your scheme would give me money for jamming someone else's connection so I can shove my own middle node in and just forward traffic to them.
gollark: Check better.
gollark: This incentivises *unnecessarily* becoming an intermediary.
