Azam Nazir Tarar

Azam Nazir Tarar is a Lahore-based Pakistani criminal lawyer, bar leader and Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council. He hails from powerful and famous Tarar Family which introduced many Politicians, Bureaucrats and lawyers. He remained Secretary Lahore High Court Bar Association 2004–5, graduated from Government College University, Lahore in 1998. He earned LL.B. law Degree from University Law College, Punjab University in 1991 and LL.M. from University of Edinburgh in Criminal Law 1994.

He remained Secretary Lahore High Court Bar Association[1] and Member Pakistan Bar Council. He is stalwart of Independent Lawyers Group constituted by the great leader and human Rights Activist Asma Jahangir. Being member Pakistan Bar Council he introduced reforms in the education of LL.B.and enrollment procedure of Lawyers and extended the period of LL.B. from three years to Five years after Intermediate F.A./ F.Sc. after passing Admission test and LGAT etc.

Area of Practice

He has vast experience over thirty years as a practicing Lawyer and known for his Legal Services in Criminal law, Nab Law, Narcotics Law, ECL Law, Customs Law, Law of Bails, Murder Reference & Appeals in Supreme Court of Pakistan and Lahore High Court.

Nawaz Sharif Counsel

He is the Counsel & Advisor of Ex.Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif,[2] ex. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz, Maryam Nawaz Sharif Rana Sanaullah MNA and representing them in Lahore High Court and Supreme Court of Pakistan and bail out them from the jail.[3]
