Early life

She did her schooling from Techno India Group Public School, Hooghly, west Bengal. At the age of  7 she also did a portfolio shoot as she dreamt to be a model. In school days she also took classical dance(odissi) training from Dona Ganguly(Saurav Ganguly's wife) and has achieved many awards for the school in her dance events. She was also good in academics due to which in the higher classes her teachers were supporting her to pursue medical science but her destiny was something else. It was connected to her father's profession. Her father's dream was Olympic gold and she chose his dream as her own dream. Her father introduced her into shooting sport when she was in 8th standard and she started performing very well. She got selected in the national team and there was no way of turning back. Even her teachers supported a lot. Her principal Ms. Pradipta Chatterjee had full faith her in her that she could manage both academics and sports parallely. Without the support from her school she couldn't have continued shooting during her school days. It was their support that helped her to reach this height in her shooting career at very early age. Her 12th board exam and junior world cup Sydney clashed but she managed both at the same time. In her final year of school she was awarded the Student of the Year award for being an all rounder. Then later on she pursued public administration (hons.)from DAV college, Chandigarh. She achieved many national and international medals during this period.
