Queen of the South
Sonkur began his career at Queen of the South, making just two appearances for the senior team before departure.
Annan Athletic
Sonkur spent three years at Annan Athletic, playing over fifty times in all competitions, and scoring three times in the league and once in the Scottish Cup.[2] Sonkur helped Annan to a fourth-place finish in the 2018-19 season granting them a place in the promotion play-offs, Sonkur played in every play-off match,[3] Annan were defeated in the final by Clyde.[4]
