Aveau is a former Manu Samoa 15s and 7s rugby player and coach. He was first elected to parliament of the Independent State of Samoa in the 2011 election.[1] Aveau beat 3 other candidates from the villages of Vaimoso, Lepea and Vailoa to gain the seat, with a convincing win of more than 200 votes over the second place candidate from Lepea.

Aveau hopes to improve the quality of living in Faleata East by focusing on aspects such as education, agriculture and generating jobs for the public.
