Attic Entertainment Software
The Attic Entertainment Software GmbH was a German video game developer and publisher that was founded in September 1990 by Hans-Jürgen Brändle, Jochen Hamma and Guido Henkel in Albstadt, Baden-Württemberg. Attic has been inactive since 2001. The founder, Hans-Jürgen Brändle, was reported to have died in Las Vegas during the month of August, 2005.[1]

Attic's breakthrough was the so-called Northlands Trilogy (Realms of Arkania: Blade of Destiny, Realms of Arkania: Star Trail and Realms of Arkania: Shadows over Riva), a series of role-playing video games based upon the popular German tabletop role-playing game The Dark Eye.
