Association of International Schools in Africa

The Association of International Schools in Africa (AISA) was founded in 1969. It represents the interests of international schools on the continent of Africa. AISA has a membership of schools which range in size from 20 to 3600 students. AISA provides for nearly 42,000 students and over 2,500 teachers and administrators. In partnership with Associate Members, which are businesses, school-to-school partners, organizations, universities, and individuals from throughout the world, the Association serves as a support organization for international schools in 34 countries throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

Secretariat

AISA's secretariat is located at the International School of Kenya grounds in Nairobi, Kenya. The association is headed by Peter Bateman with Benjamin Bett, Constancia Munene and Ida Rob having the portfolio of Professional Development Finance & Administration and Communications and Marketing respectively.
