Career

Amateur

Tolliver attended Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood, Arkansas and played college baseball at both the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Oklahoma City University. In 2008, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Hyannis Mets of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[1]

Baltimore Orioles

He was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the fifth round of the 2009 Major League Baseball Draft. He was called up to the majors for the first time on May 23, 2016.[2] He made a bare-handed catch on a line drive the week prior that garnered national headlines.[3] He got his first major league win on June 24, 2016 against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Los Angeles Angels

Tolliver was claimed off waivers by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on September 3, 2016. He was then designated for assignment in December with the hope of him getting through waivers.

Houston Astros

He was claimed by the Houston Astros on December 5.[4] On March 15, 2017 he was optioned to the Fresno Grizzlies of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League.[5] Tolliver did not see any postseason action, but was still on the 40-man roster at the time and won his first championship title.[6] He was outrighted on July 25, 2017. He elected free agency on November 6, 2017.

Long Island Ducks

On April 11, 2018, Tolliver signed with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.[7]

High Point Rockers

On February 28, 2019, Tolliver was traded to the High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. He became a free agent following the season.
