Ashok was requested to direct a few commercials. His debut commercial as a director for ‘Killer Jeans’ was nominated for the best debut director of the year award in 1997.

Two films for Wave Cinemas’ led to yet another prominent award, one of India’s foremost advertising award – ‘AAA of I’ who awarded him two bronzes for excellence in film-making at the Goafest in 2007.

Ashok recently concluded a solo show of his art works in Milan 2010. Although active in art photography, he is fascinated with film-making and we can expect his next project to be nothing less than perfect.
