History

Artech Information Systems was co-founded in 1992 by Ajay[1] and Ranjini Poddar,[2] and is headquartered in Morristown, New Jersey.[3] Early clients for the company included the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and General Electric,[4] followed by larger ones including Fortune 500 companies.[5] Artech matches candidates with client firms based on their demands for special skills.[3] Ranjini Poddar serves as the company’s CEO.[6]

Artech is the largest woman-owned IT staffing company in the US,[6] and has around 10,500 employees. The company also provides project management services,[4] focusing on women and minority hires.[7] By 2011, it was operating in Canada,[8] forty US states, China, and India, with $328.3 million in revenues, growing 83% since the following year,[4] and grew by 25% over the previous five years.[9]

Affiliations

Artech is a cofounder of a women-focused information technology center at Banasthali Vidyapeeth University[10] in Rajasthan, India,[11] called the Artech-Dalmia Centre for Information Technology.[10] In 2014 Artech acquired Vega Consulting[12] and in 2017 Artech acquired Tech-Pro Inc.[13][14] In 2018 Artech acquired the talent and technology services business unit of CDI.[15]
