History

Founded in January 2000,[4] APF was developed out of the recognition that many ambitious art projects require innovative production strategies because they have few precedents and demand new approaches – they involve the collaboration of several disciplines, exceed the size or scale of traditional art installations, and engage the general public in a unique way. In 2016, Art Production Fund announced that its Executive Director, Casey Fremont, would assume full management of the non-profit alongside Director of Operations Kathleen Lynch. APF co-founders Yvonne Force Villareal and Doreen Remen continue to serve on the APF Board of Directors.[5] As of 2020, APF is directed by Casey Fremont.[6]
