Aroul D. Shankar

Aroul D. Shankar is an Indian character actor who works in Tamil-language films.[1] He is known for his role in Yaman (2017).

Career

Aroul pursued an MBA at XLRI - Xavier School of Management. He quit working and approached Balu Mahendra as he wanted to become a director. Mahendra advised Aroul to get into acting before directing. Aroul enrolled in a six-moth acting course. After in acting in around 30 films, he got his breakthrough with a meaty role in Yaman (2017) as a minister named Thangapandi.[2][3] The film marks his second collaboration with the director, Jeeva Shankar, after Amara Kaaviyam (2014), in which he played a small role.[2] He made his Malayalam debut with 2 States (2020).[4]
