Ankur Garg

Ankur Garg (born 6 April 1982) is a partner and producer at Luv Films and an entrepreneur.[1] He is also the founder of iForIndia.org, a social organization.[2]

Early life

Garg was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where he received his education. He did his Bachelor of Engineering (Information Technology) from the University of Pune and a management development program at IIM Ahmedabad.[3]

Career

Garg worked with Microsoft for 7 years. In his last role at the company, he was the Lead – Customer & Partner Experience. He quit Microsoft in September 2012[3] to start a film production house, Luv Films with his childhood friend Luv Ranjan, where Garg handles the business reigns of the company.[4]

In his role as a producer at Luv Films, he has produced the 2018 blockbuster Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety starring Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha and Sunny Singh.[5][6][7] and De De Pyaar De starring Ajay Devgn, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh. He also produced the popular digital sitcom Life Sahi Hai.[8][9][10][11][12]

Luv Films’ upcoming films includes Chhalaang, a social comedy directed by Hansal Mehta starring Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha[13] and Jai Mummy Di starring Sunny Singh and Sonnalli Seygall directed by Navjot Gulati.[14]

Also on the cards are Malang directed by Mohit Suri starring Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani & Kunal Khemu which will release on 7 February 2020[15] and an untitled film starring Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor which is expected to go on the floors in 2019 and release on 25 December 2020.

In August 2013, Garg launched a social organization iForIndia.org which focuses on building accountability in Indian politics.[16] Garg also takes keen interest in the digital medium and is an advisor and strategist for various Indian celebrities, which is managed under his company IFI Techsolutions.
