Anjarakandy Higher Secondary School

Anjarakandy Higher Secondary School is situated in Ancharakandy, Kannur district, Kerala, India, about 15 km south of Kannur town. More than 13000 students study in the school, from standard 5 through to standard 10 and additional +1 and +2 classes in higher secondary sections.

The school was first established in 1930. The school was set up as an Upper primary school to cater for the successful students from 5 Lower primary schools in the locality. Many great scholars studied and were taught in this school including the famous Malayali poet .

This school received the "Best school in Kerala" award in 2000.
