gollark: TAR is bad then. Or .tar.gz etc.
gollark: Well, I realized that ZIP did basically the same thing a while ago, but TARs are annoying as they don't support random access.
gollark: Right now I think I have a combination of just `rsync`ing entire folders to a disk for big incompressible stuff, which is suboptimal, and sqlars for other things, but none of this is actually incremental backup capable, which is bee.
gollark: I might actually implement a simpler version of the same concept (no deduplication) so that I can finally have good sensible to use backups.
gollark: Anyway, as designing your own binary format and whatever is isomorphic to a few bee, osmarksßsqlitearchives™ are a great* idea with no** flaws.
