Biography

Wrethov is born in Lund and grew up in Vellinge.[2] He graduated from Musikhögskolan in Malmö in 2002. He sings and plays the piano and guitar.

He started up playing the guitar at the age of seven[3] after hearing dad's vinyl with Diana Ross and the Supremes. As a child he took piano lessons and started to write songs with his older sister Elin. He started his first band, playing melodic hard rock. At age of 16 Wrethov formed a new band with a more funky pop sound, Mighty Nice and got his first record deal and released one album in Sweden and Japan.

After graduating from the Malmö Academy of Music, where Wrethov had studied guitar, piano and song, he worked as a producer and songwriter.[3] Wrethov began his international career, with several hit songs in Scandinavia, UK and Germany as a result. Later, Wrethov worked in Japan and South Korea writing for J- and K-pop musicians.

Career

Wrethov has written and produced songs for a long number of artists, both in and outside of Sweden. He has participated in the Swedish Melodifestivalen on thirteen occasions; in 2019, he had participated in writing four of the competing songs[4]. In 2011, Wrethov released his first single and made his debut as a singer. Wrethov wrote the official song for the Swedish football team for the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2011.
