Ammayi

Ammayi is an unreleased Indian Tamil horror film directed by G Sankar. The film features a cast of Vinay, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Poorna in the lead roles. Featuring music composed by Ilaiyaraaja, editing by jaishankar and cinematography by Saravanan, the film began production in mid-2016.[1]

Production

The film was launched in a ceremony during June 2016 attended by the lead actors and technicians.[2] Featuring Vinay, Varalaxmi and Poorna in the lead roles, the film was revealed to be a horror story made by a debutant director, G. Shankar, and producer.[3] Poorna revealed that she would portray Vinay's wife, while Varalaxmi would portray the titular character. The film began in June, with the intention of completing the shoot within four months.[4]

In 2017, Vinay revealed he was still attached to the project, though no further developments have been reported since.[5]
