The tower is designed with a mixture of art deco and postmodern styles by Swanke Hayden Connell Architects.[2][1][4] The façade, which is a reddish-pink color, is made of polished granite.[2][4] The tower was sold in 2002 for US$ 500 million to a group of German-American investors.[3]
