Ambepussa is a town in the Kegalla District in Sri Lanka. Ambepussa Railway station is in Gampaha District.

History
The first railroad tracks in Sri Lanka led from Colombo to Ambepussa (Gampaha District).
Geography
Ambepussa is 59 kilometers northeast of Colombo and in the western part of the island. Ambepussa is situated at the junction of Routes A1 and A6.
